HKS Group

The companies that together form the HKS Group are:  Walter Höhn GmbH, HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH, HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH & Co. KG and HKS Abbruch- und Verschrottungstechnik GmbH.

This coalition began in 1970 under of the name of the founder, Walter Hohn, who lived in Frankfurt and started the business as a lathe shop.  For more than 35 years now, the group has developed, designed, and manufactured hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components and systems.  The original two-man operation has grown into a group of enterprises which are internationally active with more than 120 employees.  Locations include Bexbach near the French border, and Nuekirch near the Poland border.  The market is served by distribution agencies in all European countries, and with partners in Australia, Canada, China, India, South Africa, South Korea and the United States.

The HKS Group is well-known for its apprenticeship opportunities, and includes 10% of the work force annually in this training program.  Owing to their personnel policies, HKS has a near 0% turnover rate. Therefore, the seniority of the employees is accordingly high, ranging from 10 - 20 years, and expertise is retained within the company.  

This private company is now in its 2nd and 3rd generation of family ownership which  has continued to adjust to customer demands using high technical standards, quality management, and knowledgeable employees to make HKS a world market leader.
