The History of HKS Group

2006

HKS has over 120 employees total in 3 locations and many sales partners world-wide.

2005

On our site in Neukirch, a new production hall for actuators over 660 pounds is built. HKS in Neukirch now has 21,500 sq ft production space and 5,380 sq ft office space.

2004

The HKS Abbruch und Verschrottungstechnik GmbH is found in Bexbach (German/French border). This new enterprise is responsible for the expanded production of scrapping and demolition technology.

2001

The marketing company HKS France (near Paris) is found.

1999

In Wächtersbach-Aufenau, the company doubles its office and production space by building of a 2nd company building.

1996

Production in our site in Neukirch begins.

1995

HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH & CO. KG in Neukirch (East Germany) is found by Günther Höhn.

1985

HKS Dreh-Antriebe GmbH is found with its own design and sales department for hydraulic rotary actuators.

1981

The building in Wächertsbach-Aufenau is extended to create additional office space.

1980

Günter Höhn becomes managing director of the Walter Höhn GmbH.

1976

Production of the first rotary actuators begins.

1974

Training and teaching of specialists begin. Until present day, every person trained in the company has remained.

1973

On April 1st, 1973 the company moves to Wächtersbach-Aufenau into a new building with about 2,150 sq ft office space.

1970

In October, the son of Walter Höhn, Günter, joins the company as second employee.

1970

Walter Höhn purchases the company "Ossmer und Manns" in Frankfurt and renames it to Walter Höhn (1 employee and about 7000 Deutsch Mark sales volume/month). This laith shop now produces components for machines.
